Dev9null Driver 0.5.0 Download Fix
PCSX2 enables the user to emulate a PS2 controller. It is able to emulate controller devices and their characteristics by being plugged into the gamepad port. However, PCSX2 currently does not provide any way to control many controllers natively such as the PS3 Dualshock 3 controller, some other third party controllers, Sony VAIO keyboards and mice, and the Sony PlayStation Eye webcam. However, it is possible to adjust the settings such as button mapping, etc., of the USB /dev9null plug-in to allow the game to recognize it. To do so, use the dev9null.plg file that is included with the release package.

The dev9null plug-in is also available to users who do not want to use the standard PS2 BIOS. Instead, the core emulator is aware of the existance of the plug-in, and it is possible for any plug-in to send commands to the emulator and receive responses from it. This implementation is compatible with PSEmu Pro, and it is not necessary to edit any files.
The official Dev9 driver (by Luigi__) was released in 2017, but it was a beta version that is available only in the sonyps2 project. It is not compatible with PCSX2 so it cannot be installed. Instead, I suggest you to try Dev9null 0.5.0 (by Baldory).
Dev9 is a collective name for plugins that handle HDD and ethernet access. By default PCSX2 installation has only one plugin Dev9null v0.5.0, which is a null plugin used as a stub. There are newer versions of this plugin by Luigi and Dev9-giga-razi available in GitHub . The plugin is still in its early development stage at this time (early 2015), however, it can already emulate HDD.
